The Centre for Local Capacity Building (CLCB) is a South African Not-For-Profit, soft infrastructure project and fund management organisation in the field of local governance. The organisation is driven by young, dynamic and highly skilled professionals with a mission to change the face of local government and improve quality of life, one municipality at a time, in order to deliver on socio-economic reforms in communities, particularly those that are rural in nature and marginalised. CLCB prides itself in being a partner to local government, civil society, community based organisation and private sector in South Africa, with strong international linkages as well. Through ideation, proposal packaging and resource mobilisation, CLCB plays a critical role in partnering with municipalities, local communities and private sector to harness the capabilities and capacities of the local machinery to ensure that all actors participate in development. CLCB invests its project and fund management efforts in the entire value-chain of project development through: ideation & project conceptualisation, opportunity scanning, proposal packaging, project implementation and, project monitoring and assessment of socio-economic performance.
